In 2012 I lost my husband to cancer. I could no longer stand living where we had
lived for the past 30 years, so I decided to move to the Oregon coast to be
close to the ocean. I began looking online at different housing options and
found one I particularly liked. I requested more information, and within 5
minutes I received a call from Wendy Weimer. (I received no other calls, by the
way). She was helpful, informative, and a good listener (certainly hearing far
more than I am sure she wanted to about my situation).
During the
following few months she sent me listings she thought I might be interested in
that were within my price range, as well as researching new ones that I came up
with on my own. When I finally came up to look at houses, she drove me around
endlessly and patiently to see the many homes I wanted to see. Those homes even
included one I had added to my list the same day I left.
When I chose a
house and it came time to handle paperwork she did so in a timely and thorough
manner, taking care of all necessary details - as by this time I had returned to
my home 2000 miles away. After the closing, she arranged for contractors to do
things that needed to be done before my move in date - and even paid someone out
of her own pocket(!) so that she could secure the service needed at that time.
It made the move hassle-free and I arrived to my new home with everything ready.
Knowing that I knew no one, and that I was recently widowed, Wendy then
went out of her way to introduce me to people, and invite me to gatherings so
that I could make friends. As far as I know - her job was done months before,
but she continued to help me in any way she could, and for that I will always be
grateful.
Wendy is a professional. She is a competent, helpful,
knowledgeable and dedicated agent who has always gone above and beyond for her
clients in the years she has been in business. I am happy and proud to now call
her a friend and highly recommend her to anyone entering the real estate
market.
